Terrie Hartsfield
My first visit to Krav Maga was in Pete’s class. My mother went with me, and although she pulled through the whole class, I quit thirty minutes early because I thought I was going to drop. I hadn’t worked out in a long time, so I tried to sneak out. Fortunately, my ID was at the front desk, and there was no way out but to talk to a representative.
Needless to say, I signed up and started Krav Maga that night weighing 220 lbs. Since then, I made some small changes in the amount of portions I had at my meals, and along with the classes I took, today I’m down to 155 lbs. I feel better than ever. Exercising has become a habit. If I don’t go, I get depressed, so I‘m there every week.
Today, when I meet someone new, I show them my driver’s license picture, because they can’t believe how much I’ve lost. I strongly encourage everyone to get moving. When I meet new people that come to Krav Maga, I tell them it’s just the first class; it only gets better from here.
Yes, it does, Ms. Hartsfield, and you have proven that although the first step is always the hardest, your persistence to stay on this journey has most certainly paid off. We are very proud of your accomplishment and this is why you are STW’s Member of the Month.
