Cancellation Policies & Procedures
At STW Krav Maga, we’ve proudly served our community for over twenty years, welcoming thousands of members and helping hundreds successfully cancel their memberships.
We have a stellar reputation for our service to the community, local law enforcement, and military training. Additionally, we’ve donated thousands of dollars to local charities over the years.
Our goal is to ensure a smooth cancellation process. We are dedicated to providing our members a stress free experience.
Please follow these steps:
- **Notice of Intent to Cancel:** If you wish to cancel your membership at the end of your term or on a month-to-month basis, please notify us by email.
- **Cancellation Form:** Once we confirm your eligibility, we will provide a cancellation form that must be completed and returned. This form is essential for verifying your identity, ensuring we cancel the right person while protecting your personal information. You can bring the form in person with an appointment during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 2:00 pm), or mail it to us. If you deliver it in person, we will provide a stamped receipt as proof of receipt for your protection and ours. ***PLEASE NOTE: Once we have received your signed Cancellation Form (either in person or by mail) if your next draft falls within 10 days, from the date we received it, then that will be your last draft.*** (We are not able to stop your drafts that fall within the 10 days). Feel free to contact us to verify what your last draft date would be.
- **Follow-Up Notice:** If the cancellation form is not returned within **seven days**, we will send a follow-up notice to remind you that the form has not been received. Your membership will not be canceled until the form is returned.
- **Dispute Policy:** If any disputes arise within **ninety days** of canceling your membership, we will address and settle those disputes. If funds are owed to you due to our mistake, we will promptly correct the issue and refund the appropriate amount.
- **If you choose to mail your signed cancellation form instead of in-person drop off:** We highly recommend that members send their cancellation requests via certified mail since STW & the member receives a confirmation receipt that the form was received. With certified mail you are also able to track your form. Regular mail is also an option, but certified mail helps ensure that your request reaches us.
- **Tracking Communications:** Our third-party drafting service tracks all communications related to your membership, including emails and phone calls. This system helps ensure that nothing falls through the cracks and that we have a record of your inquiries.
Member Responsibility
It is the member's responsibility to return the cancellation form. Those who follow our procedures experience no issues, while those who do not may encounter problems and often express frustration. We want to avoid misunderstandings, and your cooperation is essential. Our cancellation policy has been designed to serve our community effectively.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
